We are students and graduates of Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw, Poland, Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Music Academy in Łódź, Poland, as well as Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität in Vienna, Austria. The long lasting friendship and the joy of creating music pieces are values that joined us together. Each of us took part in nationwide or international music competitions and succeed either as solo musician or a band member. Though our main interest lies in the classical music, we enjoy jazz, funk, and folk too.
We started our artistic activity in September 2016 - we took part in Five O'Clock audition accompanied by Krzysztof Herdzin and Pawel Gusnar. The project was broadcasted by The Second Channel of Polish Radio. During the concert, we performed latin-jazz
theme 'Wapango' by Cuban saxsophone player - Paquito d’Rivera. The second music piece was Krzysztof Herdzin's Suite of Polish Themes, inspired by Polish folk music. Although our cooperation just started, we are full of great, creative ideas,
and we have got a number of concerts planned for the future.
Our first project includes the contemporary saxophone music. The features of the music proposed by us cannot be named separately. It's a mix of a classic style and tone with the dynamics of jazz music and ethnic music rhythmicity. The Whoop Group is the one and only saxophone quartet in Poland performing such diverse music.
